From 2012 to 2014, she was a visiting Ph.D. student with the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K., where she continued as a Research Fellow from 2015 to 2017, under the grants funded by the European Space Agency.

In received April 2010 Dr. Cristallini received the Ph.D. degree in Radar Remote Sensing also from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a thesis entitled “Innovative adaptive techniques for multi-channel spaceborne SAR systems”.
